The aim of the Basic’s of Lymphoedema and Compression Workshop Course is to provide participants with a foundational understanding of lymphoedema, its causes, and its compression management.
Course Educational Level: Beginner/ IntroductoryÂ
Instructional Methods: Lectures, and live demonstrations
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the Lymphoedema Advanced Techniques Review Course, you will:
- Understand and differentiate between lymphoedema, lipoedema and oedema
- Identify treatment components of Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD), bandaging, exercise and skin care.
- Demonstrate basic multi-layer compression bandaging techniques.
- Review flat knit and circular knit options for effective, graduated compression systems for arm and leg.
NOTE:Â It is the responsibility of all health professionals to know their scope of practice and to work within the limits of their license.

The following agreement is made by the participant registering for the Continuing Education Course as indicated on the registration form. Class Times For exact class hours, dates and times, please refer to the course-specific information on the website. This information will also be included in the confirmation letter that will be emailed to you after you register. Tuition & Refund Policy Tuition varies for each continuing education course; please refer to the website. The full amount is due at the time of registration.
No refunds will be given in case of student cancellation, at any time after the online portion of the course has been released and viewed. One can transfer the date to a future course date
Class Cancellation:
If a course is cancelled due to an insufficient number of registrations, all money received will be refunded or transferred to another class as elected by the registrant. In case of cancellation of the class for any other reason, such as the presenter falling ill, a new course will be scheduled, and all payments will be transferred.
Attendance and Dismissal:
Participants must be in class on time; 100% attendance is expected. Participants who miss more than two (2) hours of a continuing education course will not receive a Certificate of Completion.
Certificates
To receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the continuing education course, the tuition must be paid in full, and all required documentation must be submitted. We will gladly replace lost or damaged certificates via email.

Suzi Davey, OTR/L, CLT-LANA, CLWT
Suzi Davey is an Occupational Therapist and specialist and expert in the field of Lymphoedema Management, certified in 1998, through Dr. Vodder School International and completed Certified instructor training in 2015 with the International Lymphedema and Wound Care Training Institute USA (ILWTI). She will be presenting the course and testing the students throughout.
