Review of Compression Options

This workshop is great for Health Care Practitioners who it is within their Scope of Practice to fit patients with Compression Products such as Orthotists, Doctors, OT’s, Nurses, Wound Care Specialists, Physio’s and All Lymphoedema Certified Therapists, who are interested in learning more about Oedema Compression Management.

This 4-day course reviews practical hands-on techniques.

Day 1 and 2 we focus on the application of compression bandages for a variety of Oedema diagnoses for upper and lower extremities.

Day 3 and 4 we focus on a variety of quality compression garment options, including circular knit, flat knit, velcro wraps and other inelastic compression options.

This course will add more tools in your toolbox for successful management and maintenance of Oedema.

This course is for certified Lymphoedema Therapists from any 135+ hour course to review the Basic Principles of MLD, Compression Bandaging, Compression Garments, Exercises and Instructions in Self MLD/Self Bandaging Techniques and intro to Elastic Taping and more. One must provide previous certificate of completion to attend.
